Trace the spirit of the old literati and artists and send your sense of taste on a journey of pleasure through the world of coffee in three of Vienna's best-known and most popular coffee houses. Austria was an incredible country to visit, and it marked the 41st country I have been fortunate to explore. It has a stunning metropolitan city, talented artists, renowned music composers, a rich history, and mouthwatering fondue. The architectural beauty of Austria truly amazed me, and I could easily have spent hours taking pictures of its breathtaking buildings.
In addition to the zoo, the Bratislava Zoo also houses a dinosaur park. Here you can marvel at an exhibition of life-size dinosaur models. Our fondue was beautifully plated and surrounded with vegetables and our bread for dipping. We were happy to share it with the other cruisers that were in the lounge with us. It sure was a fun experience, but we definitely got taken advantage of. Still, it was an entertaining evening and a great story to tell back on the boat.
In addition, children and adults will enjoy Austria’s only outdoor biological swimming pool, Kuenringerbad, with an average temperature of 23 degrees celsius. Enjoy views of the town from overhead helicopter tours, leisurely river excursions, or hike up into the mountains and explore some of Dürnstein’s ruins. The mountains offer the ruins of Dürnstein castle and city wall as well as beautiful flora and fauna to spot.
